Big Sky is een modern vakantiehuis voor 6 volwassenen in het dorp Camber, East Sussex, op slechts 4,8 km van Rye
Big Sky is een chique verborgen parel aan de kust op slechts 5 minuten lopen van het strand, gelegen langs een privépad met een oprit met poorten en parkeergelegenheid voor 3 auto's.
Afgewerkt tot een zeer hoge standaard, met een eigentijdse uitstraling, deze drie slaapkamers, 2 badkamers, het open vakantiehuis is een geheim dat we graag delen.
U komt het pand binnen in een open woonkamer, eetkamer en keuken, perfect voor vakantie koken en entertainment. Gedurfde interieurkleuren, eigenzinnige schatten geven karakter aan de ruimte en het middelpunt, de houtkachel, is een extra welkom voor die koele herfstavonden en luie zondagen na een verkwikkende winterwandeling op het strand. Volledig uitgeruste keuken en aparte bijkeuken, waardoor vakantiecatering een fluitje van een cent wordt.
Er zijn drie slaapkamers, twee kingsize bedden waarvan een met een eigen badkamer met douche en een tweepersoonsslaapkamer tegenover de familiebadkamer. Allemaal afgewerkt tot een zeer hoge standaard met kwaliteit beddengoed en zachte donzige handdoeken.
De omheinde tuin is een mooie verrassing, aangelegd met natuurlijke beplanting, grind en vlonders en een omheinde vijver, een welkom toevluchtsoord na een lange dag in het 1066-gebied. Er zijn twee versierde ruimtes, een om buiten te dineren en de andere met uitzicht op de beek die achter het pand loopt. Er is een vuurplaats in de grindtuin om die marshmallows te smelten onder het genot van een koel drankje en sterrenkijken op een zwoele avond.
Big Sky is een hondvriendelijk en kindvriendelijk vakantiehuis, maar gasten moeten zich bewust zijn van de vijver en de beek erachter, dus laat kinderen nooit zonder toezicht in de tuin.
Als u op zoek bent naar een ontspannen vakantieverblijf op één niveau, gemakkelijke toegang tot het strand en het mooie moerasstadje, zoek dan niet verder dan Big Sky, het is zeker een plek waarvan we denken dat u er in elk seizoen gelukkig zult zijn.

Big Sky was lovely, a perfect getaway. It was exactly as described and in a perfect relocation only a few mins walk from the beach. The garden was also very lovely and private. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this place for a great beach get away with the family.

What a lovely space. Really well decorated and everything just works. IF I had to criticise (and this is hard!)....there was no cooking oil? The bottle of fizz made up for it though! Very comfortable, loved the fire, hot and powerful showers, comfy beds.

Amazing stay at the Big Sky. Exactly what was needed to break the lockdown blues. Great place to relax, the kids absolutely loved the styling of it, and the wood burner was a big hit. Beds were comfy, water was hot, neighbours were quiet...what more do you need 😊

“Big Sky - wow! The photos do not do this place justice. I and my family had a wonderful holiday in this beautifully designed property. Spacious, clean, well laid out with fab eclectic design-led decor and a huge garden. A great location to explore the nature reserve, wonderful beaches, Rye and Dungeness. We had stormy weather unfortunately for half the trip but Big Sky was the perfect place to cosy up with a book and stay dry and when the sun shone, to sit out with a cocktail in a deck chair. Highly recommend!”

We had a lovely stay in Camber. the Apartment is lovely and located close to the beach. Parking was great, just outside the apartment. The rooms are decent sized (we were a group of 4 so it worked well) and the garden is spacious, though you do have to keep an eye out for kids and dogs as it is not fenced and there is a pond. We gave it an overall 4 rating as there were a few quirks (front door lock was tricky; not as clean as we hoped; general amenities such as salt, pepper, oil etc. were not included) but overall we had a really great time.

This was the perfect venue for six of us and two dogs to spend our New Year. It’s a 3-minute walk to the beach, which the dogs loved, with its seemingly endless walks. We ate out twice, at The Owl - a 15-minute walk, great food and great beer - and at The Woolpack Inn, which is a 15-minute drive and also had great food and beer! The house itself is a perfect communal space, packed with books, games and Netflix. It’s well-equipped with everything we needed, including milk and bottle of bubbly. We loved its quirky decor and it’s got a great outside space, too. Having read previous reviews, I was a bit concerned about the pond and stream for our dogs but they don’t like to get wet so it wasn’t an issue for us. Great communication with the host, too, which was appreciated.

Big Sky is a lovely well thought out property, with everything that we needed. There was a varied selection of books which was great particularly for me as I love a good read. The location near the beach meant that we could have many walks on the stunning sandy beach, and in the afternoon we would pop into one of the Owl Pub on the way back for a quick drink in front of the log fire before dinner. We went in February which meant that the beach was deserted which was amazing.

Second time staying at one of Jacqui’s properties and we were not disappointed. Great property less than 5min walk from the beach. Great kitchen/living space with a lovely garden. Wood burner was also a lovely feature. Would definitely stay again!
