4 Landgate Cottage is een vakantiehuis voor vier personen met een prachtig uitzicht over het moeras richting Rye in het mooie stadje Winchelsea, East Sussex

Het huisje heeft hetzelfde verhoogde uitzicht als een van de historische stenen poorten die ooit de stad Winchelsea bewaakten tegen aanvallen van de zee.

U komt het huisje binnen via de achterzijde, in de hal, hier vindt u schoenen- en jassenopslag. Aan de linkerkant is een aparte toilet-garderobe en een familiebadkamer met wastafel, bad met hoofddouche en aparte handdouche, douchescherm, handdoekenrek, scheerapparaat en toilet.

Het huisje komt uit in een moderne, volledig uitgeruste keuken en eethoek, met alles wat u maar kunt wensen als u zelf kookt. De lounge is gezellig en gastvrij en heeft een prachtig uitzicht over het moeras richting Rye en verder. Een heerlijke ruimte om tv te kijken of rustig te zitten met een boek.

Een trap leidt naar de twee tweepersoonskamers, die desgewenst kunnen worden ingericht als tweepersoonskamers. Beide slaapkamers hebben een wastafel en scheerapparaat, kaptafels en kasten met lades, een luxe gevoel voor een goede nachtrust. De slaapkamer aan de voorzijde heeft een prachtig verreikend uitzicht, op een heldere dag kunt u een glimp van de zee opvangen.

Er is een klein geplaveid terras met zitgedeelte buiten de achterdeur en een kleine tuin die voornamelijk bestaat uit gazon met volwassen struiken, waar u in de warmere maanden van kunt genieten.

Met verschillende stranden in de buurt, prachtige 1066 paden voor de deur, zou een verblijf in 4 Landgate Cottage u opgeladen en ontspannen moeten laten, of u nu alles wat de omgeving te bieden heeft wilt verkennen of gewoon wilt relaxen.

Het huisje ligt aan de kant van de A259, dus er kan op bepaalde tijden van de dag wat verkeerslawaai zijn.

    This is a lovely cottage. It has everything you could want and has been done to a very high standard. It was extremely clean, warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    Landgate Cottage is the perfect location to explore Winchelsea and Rye. It has everything you could possibly think of: a superb well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, a pretty little shingle garden and it’s only a few minutes walk to the centre of Winchelsea.     A very comfortable and well equipped cottage in a stunning countryside location. We had a lovely time. The cottage was so well equipped. It was a shame not to have a green lawn as in the pictures. Also the main road noise took some getting used to, but a cosy and extremely comfortable stay nonetheless. You really had thought of everything and it was spotlessly clean. **Response** We had only recently had the garden professionally landscaped and wanted a sunny day to show it off with new photos, sorry the lack of lawn disappointed but we are glad you had a lovely stay.

    A lovely comfortable cottage, it was so well equipped in the kitchen. It is very close to the main coast road , which is noisy, but the lovely views to the coast made up for the noise.

    Great little cottage. Seems newly refurbished. Kitchen was very well stocked with all the essentials and more. Cottage itself was immaculate. Would def return!

    We had a lovely stay, was in an amazing location and the property was very well equipped. We however did find a few flaws in the accommodation. • bedding smelt fusty • back bedroom blind could only be closed half way •ants in kitchen • tv remote batteries had run out. We did however like how they had a maintenance book which would help resolve these issues for the next guests. Over all enjoyed our experience and really loved being so close to Rye and camber sands.     This is our second time of staying here. Beautiful house in an amazing setting which has been meticulously designed and thought out. More comfortable than our actual home! Highly recommended.

    The accommodation has been recently renovated to a very high and tasteful standard. Unusually, the two bedrooms are almost identical which makes the who-has-what-room debate easier than usual. The kitchen is remarkably well equipped, even to the extent of having cake forks, and the bathroom has a powerful shower and electrically operated roof window. We had one minor issue which was sorted straight away by a phone call to the dedicated help number. Would not hesitate to recommend this property.

    Firstly, Jacqui is an exceptional host, giving excellent instructions, brilliant communication, very responsive and helpful as regards to check in and out requirements. The cottage is in a beautiful location with lovely panoramic views across Winchelsea and the Marsh. The cottage itself is perfect, very comfortable and had everything that we could hope for our week residency. The owners had thought of everything.
