Gardeners Cottage est situé au bout d'un chemin privé calme au sommet de Rye Hill, à quelques pas du centre-ville. La belle propriété de 5 chambres est idéale pour les réservations de générations mixtes ou les amis souhaitant se mettre au courant.
Vous entrez dans la propriété dans un petit hall d'entrée, un espace pour les manteaux et les chaussures après les promenades de l'après-midi. Depuis le couloir, il y a un salon confortable avec vue sur le jardin et un petit poêle à bois pour les froides nuits d'automne et d'hiver. Il y a une buanderie avec lave-linge et sèche-linge séparés, un grand espace pour votre ami à quatre pattes s'il vient aussi et un WC séparé en bas.
La grande cuisine est entièrement équipée avec un lave-vaisselle, un grand réfrigérateur-congélateur et une table de cuisine pour le café tôt le matin avant que le reste de la maison ne se réveille. La salle à manger peut accueillir confortablement 8 personnes et offre une vue imprenable sur le jardin et la campagne environnante.
Il y a une chambre double avec un lit king-size au rez-de-chaussée avec une salle de douche attenante adaptée à toute personne ayant des problèmes de mobilité.
Des escaliers mènent aux 4 autres chambres. A gauche se trouve une chambre double avec un lit king-size et en face une salle de bain avec baignoire, paroi de douche, flexible de douche amovible, WC et lavabo. À droite, vous avez deux chambres simples, une grande chambre principale avec un lit Queen et avec vue sur le côté et l'arrière de la propriété. Une autre salle de bain familiale avec baignoire, paroi de douche, flexible de douche amovible, WC et lavabo.
Il y a une petite terrasse sur le toit donnant sur le jardin et Romney Marsh vers la mer, l'endroit idéal pour prendre un café le matin ou un verre de vin le soir en regardant le coucher du soleil.
Le jardin entoure la propriété et est sécurisé pour les chiens et est principalement constitué de pelouse avec des plantations matures. Il y a une terrasse à côté de la cuisine avec une table et des chaises d'extérieur et d'autres meubles de jardin pour les mois d'été dans l'abri de jardin. Un espace idéal pour profiter de la vue sur la campagne, observer la faune et observer les étoiles sans pollution lumineuse la nuit.
La propriété accepte les chiens avec une barrière d'escalier au bas des escaliers pour empêcher les chiens de monter les escaliers. Nous pouvons fournir un lit parapluie sur demande mais ne fournissons pas de lit bébé ni de chaise haute si besoin.

We stayed at Maytham Cottage for a girls weekend. The photos do not do it justice, it’s even nicer in real life! The rooms are bright and spacious, the kitchen is well appointed and everywhere was spotless. The location is superb also, with 2 good pubs within a 10 minute walk, and Rye itself within a 15 minute walk. Jacqui and her team are fabulous, nothing was too much trouble… the welcome pack was gorgeous

Well appointed and exactly as described. The lane down to the cottage is an adventure, but all the best destinations are. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen very well kitted out.

Amazing place to stay if you are wanting to visit Rye. The house is very close to the town centre, where you can find a gorgeous little town. Jacqui was extremely helpful with directions to the property as well as any queries that we had during our stay. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful retreat to Rye.

The cottage is great & spacious and has what you need. Nice to have the big dining room and living room as there were 5 of us. Internet worked fine. Kitchen was well equipped and good furniture in the pretty garden. Enough parking for 4 cars

We are glad that is all that you could find not so good about your stay.

This property was exceptional was so comfortable and a perfect place to stay 5 minutes drive from Rye a great pub the Kings Head within walking distance and the garden was a real pleasure to relax in. I had absolutely no complaints

It was a lovely, comfortable house to stay in. Only negative was the plug in one of the bathrooms was broken hence if anyone wanted a bath they had to use the other bathroom with a bath so inconvenient.

The cottage is very well equipped. Particularly the kitchen which has virtually every utensil you might need! The cottage is always spotless, the dishwasher tablets and laundry pods are a nice touch and very welcome after wet and windy walks at the harbour. We love how private and quiet the cottage feels and the beautifully well kept garden. The welcome pack is a lovely addition, and we enjoy the products every visit! Negative: The only downside we ever find is the lane down to the cottage. You can see some of the smaller holes have been filled but the bigger craters really need some attention. **Response** Pleasure to have you stay again and yes, we are aware the road can be problematic but sadly when you have to have all the property owners agree to spend, it can be very difficult as we are sure you can imagine.

Your communication was very quick and helpful and made access to the property very easy. The cottage felt homely and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden with sunny seating spots. We were very lucky with the weather, so we made the most of it. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend Maythem Cottage and hope to visit again.

We absolutely loved our stay here - my husband and I, with our 2 children and both our mums - there was plenty of space, everyone had their own bedroom and all the communal areas were spacious and great for hanging out. A home away from home. The house was clean, lovely linen on the beds, all the showers were great, kitchen equipment - you had most of what you needed, we did a mix of eating in and going out. The house is slightly outside of Rye, in a beautiful setting with stunning views of the wonderful surroundings. A lovely garden with sunshine spots for eating outside. No more than an easy 20 minute walk into Rye, we would definitely like to stay again.
