Das Gardeners Cottage ist eine hundefreundliche Unterkunft mit 5 Schlafzimmern und atemberaubender Aussicht, nur 18 Gehminuten vom Zentrum von Rye entfernt.

Das Gardeners Cottage liegt am Ende einer ruhigen Privatstraße auf der Spitze des Rye Hill, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang vom Stadtzentrum entfernt. Das schöne Anwesen mit 5 Schlafzimmern ist ideal für Buchungen mit gemischten Generationen oder für Freunde, die aufholen möchten.

Sie betreten das Anwesen in einer kleinen Eingangshalle, die nach dem Nachmittagsspaziergang Platz für Mäntel und Schuhe bietet. Vom Flur aus gibt es eine gemütliche Lounge mit Blick in den Garten und einem kleinen Holzofen für kalte Herbst- und Winternächte. Es gibt einen Hauswirtschaftsraum mit Waschmaschine und separatem Trockner, viel Platz für Ihren Vierbeiner, wenn er mitkommt und ein separates WC im Erdgeschoss.

Die große Küche ist komplett ausgestattet mit Geschirrspüler, großem Kühlschrank mit Gefrierfach und Küchentisch für den Kaffee am frühen Morgen, bevor der Rest des Hauses erwacht. Der Speisesaal bietet bequem Platz für 8 Gäste und bietet einen atemberaubenden Blick über den Garten und die umliegende Landschaft.

Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Schlafzimmer mit Doppelbett und einem Kingsize-Bett mit eigenem Duschbad, das für alle Personen mit eingeschränkter Mobilität geeignet ist.

Treppen führen zu den weiteren 4 Schlafzimmern. Auf der linken Seite befindet sich ein Doppelzimmer mit Kingsize-Bett und gegenüber ein Badezimmer mit Badewanne, Duschwand, abnehmbarem Duschschlauch, WC und Waschbecken. Auf der rechten Seite befinden sich zwei Einzelzimmer, ein großes Hauptschlafzimmer mit einem Queensize-Bett und Blick auf die Seite und die Rückseite des Anwesens. Ein weiteres Familienbad mit Badewanne, Duschwand, abnehmbarem Duschschlauch, WC und Waschbecken.

Es gibt eine kleine Dachterrasse mit Blick auf den Garten und Romney Marsh in Richtung Meer, der perfekte Ort für einen Morgenkaffee oder ein abendliches Glas Wein mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang.

Der Garten umgibt das Grundstück und ist hundesicher und besteht hauptsächlich aus Rasen mit ausgewachsener Bepflanzung. Neben der Küche befindet sich eine Terrasse mit Tisch und Stühlen im Freien und weiteren Gartenmöbeln für die Sommermonate im Gartenhaus. Ein großartiger Ort, um die Aussicht auf die Landschaft zu genießen, Wildtiere zu beobachten und nachts ohne Lichtverschmutzung die Sterne zu beobachten.

Die Unterkunft ist hundefreundlich und verfügt über ein Treppengitter am unteren Ende der Treppe, um zu verhindern, dass Hunde nach oben gehen. Auf Anfrage stellen wir gerne ein Reisebett zur Verfügung, stellen jedoch bei Bedarf keine Babybettwäsche und einen Hochstuhl zur Verfügung.

Ein gut erzogener Hund gegen eine geringe Gebühr von 25 £. Das Cottage liegt an einer unbefestigten Straße und kann stellenweise holprig sein, daher ist Vorsicht geboten (ca. 480 Meter). Ein Doppelzimmer im Erdgeschoss mit eigenem Bad. Dachterrasse - Kinder dürfen auf dem Balkon nicht allein gelassen werden.

Rauchen verboten. Keine Partys. Keine Junggesellenabschiede. Wir müssen wissen, ob Sie einen Hund mitbringen, und die Zahlung ist vor der Ankunft erforderlich.

    We stayed at Maytham Cottage for a girls weekend. The photos do not do it justice, it’s even nicer in real life! The rooms are bright and spacious, the kitchen is well appointed and everywhere was spotless. The location is superb also, with 2 good pubs within a 10 minute walk, and Rye itself within a 15 minute walk. Jacqui and her team are fabulous, nothing was too much trouble… the welcome pack was gorgeous

    Well appointed and exactly as described. The lane down to the cottage is an adventure, but all the best destinations are. Beds were super comfortable and the kitchen very well kitted out.

    Amazing place to stay if you are wanting to visit Rye. The house is very close to the town centre, where you can find a gorgeous little town. Jacqui was extremely helpful with directions to the property as well as any queries that we had during our stay. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a peaceful retreat to Rye.

    The cottage is great & spacious and has what you need. Nice to have the big dining room and living room as there were 5 of us. Internet worked fine. Kitchen was well equipped and good furniture in the pretty garden. Enough parking for 4 cars

    Positives - Very nice accommodation, nicely located - quiet, clean, nice garden Negatives - Only the road to the house could be repaired *Response* Sadly as the lane to the property is unadopted we have limited to how we can improve the access. We are glad that is all that you could find not so good about your stay.

    This property was exceptional was so comfortable and a perfect place to stay 5 minutes drive from Rye a great pub the Kings Head within walking distance and the garden was a real pleasure to relax in. I had absolutely no complaints

    It was a lovely, comfortable house to stay in. Only negative was the plug in one of the bathrooms was broken hence if anyone wanted a bath they had to use the other bathroom with a bath so inconvenient.

    The cottage is very well equipped. Particularly the kitchen which has virtually every utensil you might need! The cottage is always spotless, the dishwasher tablets and laundry pods are a nice touch and very welcome after wet and windy walks at the harbour. We love how private and quiet the cottage feels and the beautifully well kept garden. The welcome pack is a lovely addition, and we enjoy the products every visit! Negative: The only downside we ever find is the lane down to the cottage. You can see some of the smaller holes have been filled but the bigger craters really need some attention. **Response** Pleasure to have you stay again and yes, we are aware the road can be problematic but sadly when you have to have all the property owners agree to spend, it can be very difficult as we are sure you can imagine.

    Your communication was very quick and helpful and made access to the property very easy. The cottage felt homely and comfortable with a very well equipped kitchen. Lovely garden with sunny seating spots. We were very lucky with the weather, so we made the most of it. We had a very relaxing stay and would definitely recommend Maythem Cottage and hope to visit again.

    We absolutely loved our stay here - my husband and I, with our 2 children and both our mums - there was plenty of space, everyone had their own bedroom and all the communal areas were spacious and great for hanging out. A home away from home. The house was clean, lovely linen on the beds, all the showers were great, kitchen equipment - you had most of what you needed, we did a mix of eating in and going out. The house is slightly outside of Rye, in a beautiful setting with stunning views of the wonderful surroundings. A lovely garden with sunshine spots for eating outside. No more than an easy 20 minute walk into Rye, we would definitely like to stay again.
